Interim assistance has been provided by the Urdu Academy to the heirs of the late senior journalist Syed Qadir Mohiuddin Waheed Qadri, who worked for the daily newspaper Rashtriya Sahara and the V.R.O.B.E. channel.
Following a request from the Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation, Urdu Academy President Tahir bin Hamdan directed academy officials and Assistant Director V. Krishna to go to the deceased's residence in Humayun Nagar. They personally offered condolences to the family and handed over the interim aid.
Present on this occasion were the deceased's brother and senior journalist Khalid Qadri, along with federation officials M.A. Majid, Syed Ghous Mohiuddin, Sajida Begum Sana, and Hassan Irfan.
The Federation has assured the family that they will also seek assistance from the Media Academy and secure a pension for the deceased's wife.
The Federation also submitted documents to the Media Academy to request aid and a pension for the family of the late photojournalist Tauheed from Mahbubnagar town and has also made a representation to the Urdu Academy for his family's assistance.
The Federation's Vice President, Azmat Ali Shah, and members from Mahbubnagar including Mohammad Jaafar, Mulla Shahabuddin, Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui, and Abdul Wahid Siddiqui were also present.
