The Police Commissioner advised the journalists to grab the opportunity by sailing on the path of truth and always be honest in fulfilling their responsibilities as a watch dog of democracy. It needs alertness, ability and maturity to respond immediately. One should create internal awareness of the society.
In this digital era to control everything and bring it under the clutches of law is a huge task “One lakh new emails are created every day. How to control and keep an eye on them is a big challenge. In prevailing circumstances, responsibility of journalists and other departments has increased. Society at cross roads needs directions. Journalists have to play a key role and accept responsibility to direct the society to move in the right path. You should always be aware that a small mistake of yours will play havoc and cannot be rectified,” he told the gathering.The conference, aims to gather Urdu journalists from across the state to discuss the challenges faced by Urdu journalism and address specific issues affecting Urdu journalists. The event will feature insightful talks by distinguished personalities from various fields.
